People’s Pension Trust is a company licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Ghana, to provide trustee services for the Ghanaian workforce, particularly, those in the informal sector.
People’s Pension Trust (PPT) is honoured to have been selected as one of seven finalists to advance to the next stage of the Mission Billion Challenge WURI West Africa Prize out of over 200 applicants from almost 40 countries.
The prize by the World Bank’s West Africa Unique Identification for Regional Integration and Inclusion (WURI) program and MIT solve seeks sustainable, tech-based solutions that facilitate portable contributions to social insurance programs, such as pensions and savings accounts by informal sector workers in West Africa.
In the upcoming weeks PPT will participate in the next stages of the challenge and will have the opportunity to showcase its unique solution of providing innovative and flexible pension products to the large but underserved informal sector workforce in Ghana.
Should People’s Pension Trust make it to the final round we will also have the opportunity to tell our Ghana PenTech story at a special event at the World Bank and receive mentorship and support from Google Developer Experts.
At this time PPT would like to acknowledge the individuals and organizations who have supported our ambition to provide financial security to the informal sector through innovative technology solutions.
